Pal To Ntsc Dvd Burn

Hi

 

I use Toast 10 on my iMac (osx10.8). I have a PAL DVD of a tv programme (.vob files) I wish to burn/create an NTSC DVD as I want to send it to someone in the U.S.A to watch on their NTSC dvd player.

 

Can toast standard convert from PAL to NTSC?

I tried changing to NTSC in the preferences menu but it doesn't appear to be working? Am I doing something wrong?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Toast needs to re-encode the video. This is done by choosing the DVD-video setting in the Toast Video window. Insert your PAL disc. Go to the Toast Media Browser and click the Video tab and then DVD. There you can drag the individual videos from the DVD to the main Toast window. Prepare the menu the way you want (you cannot keep the original menu) and click the burn button (or choose Save as Disc Image). Toast will ask if you really want this to be NTSC. Click okay and Toast takes care of it.
