Tivo Transfer

Just purchased and installed Toast Titanium 12 on Mac running 10.9.4.

 

Went to Extras and TiVo Transfer didn't show up. Is it no longer available or is there another way to install it?

 

Thoughts?

Do you think Roxio will be doing a TiVo Transfer update? I have a Roamio but have not installed it. So I don't know if it does work with it. I still have my old Series 3 and Premier running.

 

There may be a delay on TiVo Transfer so it will be compatible with the new Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite as well.

As a note: I copied the missing apps from Toast 11 into the Toast 12 folder and they do not show up in the "Extras" Toast 12 menu. But they still run by themselves.

My guess is Roxio/Corel severed their agreement with TiVo. However someone else filled the void with cTiVo which is free and can be downloaded from MacUpdate.com. The Mac's Security preferences won't let you launch it the first time without your approval. But after that it works great and supports the Roamio as well.

Roxio seems to have discontinued TiVo Transfer, maybe because it needed an update to work with the TiVo Roamio. If you had an earlier version of Toast with TiVo Transfer just copy that back from a backup or from the earlier version installer. If you rename the Toast Titanium folder in your Applications folder you can install multiple versions of Toast.
